Hennepin County is divided into seven districts. Every four years, each district elects a County Commissioner. The seven County Commissioners make up the Hennepin County Board. Hennepin County Commissioners are policymakers, overseeing the operation and administration of Hennepin County. Commissioners are responsible for managing the county budget and finances.
Commissioners regularly consult with county departments and their constituents to make hard decisions regarding approving the annual county budget and the funding of programs and projects in transportation, human services, public safety, public health, energy, and the environment.
I believe my experience and knowledge working with all County departments make me the most qualified candidate running for Hennepin County Commissioner, District 6.
If elected, I would create a respectful work environment that would foster a collaborative approach to complex issues.
